The Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work is hiring for one lecturer position to teach the following course during the 2026 spring semester in the full-time Master of Social Work Program (MSW):

Social Work 636, 'Social Work in American Indian communities: The Indian Child Welfare Act'

In this role, you can expect to:


  • Prepare an approved course syllabus in the context of the School's curriculum design and in light of any accreditation parameters.

  • Hold regularly scheduled office hours.

  • Construct, conduct, and grade appropriate course assignments (exams, papers, quizzes, etc.)

  • Invited (advised) to attend faculty meetings with voice, but no vote.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction

Compensation:

The typical starting salary for this full-time position is $16,700, which is prorated from a full-time, 9-month annual salary of $50,000, and may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of two years post MSW practice experience and expertise in the Indian Child Welfare Act

Preferred Qualifications:

Record of excellence in teaching courses in the subject area and/or related work experience

Education:

Master of Social Work (MSW) required
