The Position

The Opportunity:

As a Clinical Education Manager (CEM), you bring clinical knowledge and expertise to the assignedcommericalsales team. The CEM partners with Ecosystem partners, customers and patients to increase their knowledge and understanding of the assigned GNE brand(s); their benefits and use as these pertain to the relevant therapeutic area/disease state and approved indication(s).

  • Recommend opportunities to deepen account understanding of Genentech brand(s) and provide strategic input on marketing materials.

  • Actively engage in local community and provider events to strengthen relationships and support educational initiatives.

  • Deliver training and educational sessions on Genentech brand(s) and their approved indications using approved materials.

  • Partner closely with Therapeutic Area Managers by participating in periodic account meetings and identifying additional opportunities to expand account knowledge and engagement with Genentech brand(s).

Who you are:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or clinical degree (e.g., RN, BSN, RT, or PharmD) required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of field-based experience in patient services, reimbursement, or the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Previous clinical experience directly supporting patients (e.g., nurse, patient navigator, or pharmacist).

  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in public speaking and delivering professional presentations.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations, FDA requirements, and internal compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience within the Immunology, Respiratory, or Neurology therapeutic areas.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related healthcare industry,with preference for patient-facing roles.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, with a clinical background and proven success in patient-facing roles.

Relocation benefits are not available for this posting. Candidates must reside within the ecosystem, specifically in the Chicagoland area or Northwest Indiana, to be considered.

This is a field-based position.

Overnight travel may be required. This position requires significant driving of either a company provided or personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting, both of which are part of the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. As a result, Genentech, Inc. (Company) from time to time will check your motor vehicle record for purposes of determining your eligibility for driving a Company vehicle or driving any vehicle on Company business.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Illinois is $127,400.00 - $236,600.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
