DevOps Program Manager

As the DevOps Program Manager you will coordinate and analyze new ideas to improve the Airports Authority's operational capabilities. Facilitate team efforts to build system infrastructure and establish best practices for product and project development. Ensure high availability, integrity, security, compliance, and other key attributes necessary for delivering high-quality solutions across SaaS (Software as a Service), commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom business applications.

Serves in the MWAA Labs of the Office of Technology at the Headquarters Office.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as an integration agent between product/project and operational teams; supports efforts from idea conception through development and implementation.

Supports application systems integration testing, including troubleshooting source code and configurations, and specific instances. Ensures procedures and application configurations/customizations are documented and maintained.

Plans and coordinates the use of development, system test, and acceptance test environments to support production instances. Facilitates user acceptance testing, documents change requests, and schedules application release updates.

Facilitates product brainstorming sessions, coordinates the build process of product mock-ups, and conducts design walkthroughs to identify potential design flaws early.

Identifies opportunities to upgrade or consolidate software to meet business needs. Recommends changes and participates in acquisition, implementation, and ongoing management of upgrades/replacements.

Maintains workflows, schedules concurrent processes, and ensures compliance with configuration and change management procedures. Assists with code review administration and repository maintenance.

Monitors workflow processes, databases, and reports to enhance performance, availability, security, integrity, and efficiency.

Collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to monitor key environment metrics and develops procedures for routine administration (e.g., backup/restore, shutdown/start-up).

Analyzes current and future Airport Authorities advanced capability needs by reviewing business requirements and assessing the value of new product ideas.

Supports the development and refinement of new product and service ideas, and facilitates their transition into viable solutions.

Establishes operational procedures for large-scale product distribution to customers and external entities.

Tracks aviation technology trends and evaluates their impact on the Airports Authority's capability roadmap and innovation strategy.

Acts as liaison between development teams and the open source/technical community. Helps navigate technical challenges and facilitates communication between stakeholders.

Coordinates installation, upgrade, and patching of applications, working across business units and with end-users.

Stays informed on IT advancements to advise management on current and future needs, including technology consolidation and standardization across business applications and tools.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Eight years of progressively responsible experience in application support that includes experience in back office implementation and system administration, and support. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Five of the eight years must include experience in application design and development, and support experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of building infrastructure for various system resources application management and configuration management (including enterprise software applications) on various deployment environments (cloud, COTS, and custom-built), and provide daily support, install and configure enhancements, address issues through the application of software upgrades/patches, and verify backups and a disaster recovery solution are in place.

Knowledge of and ability to apply design, development of product/system, and implementation with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, Agile development, configuration and release management best practices, and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles to administer and maintain the source code to support configuration management and operate ServiceNow for incident and problem management.

Knowledge of and ability to use various AWS components (databases, ETL tools, EC2 instance creation, load balancer, and Route 53 configuration) for the build and deployment of Angular, Node, hybrid mobile frameworks, and iOS and Android platforms.

Knowledge of and ability to: write automated deployment and monitoring scripts; manage AWS, Google, and Azure cloud platforms; create, build, and deploy scripts for cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS Code Build and Code Deploy.

Skill in building scalable, elastic multi-region infrastructure for various web and database needs.

Ability to build and integrate multiregional system infrastructure using AWS platform (Route 53, Application Load Balancer and other security protocols.)

Knowledge of Linux and other operating systems.

Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on communicating technical issues to nontechnical audiences.

Ability to perform detailed analyses of data and information and make recommendations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation from an Examination Institute (EI) accredited by AXELOS.

Certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) from the Project Management Institute, or equivalent certification.

EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, teamwork, customer service, and other factors.

May be subject to hold over and recall on a 24-hour basis for essential technology services and emergencies.

May work at any Airports Authority facility or location.
