Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned) The Operations Business Analyst (Finance Analyst II) is responsible for supporting the Power Operations Group through financial analysis, data analytics, and reporting to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. Assists with budgeting, forecasting and project cost analysis. Develops dashboards and reports to monitor asset performance and key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborates with Operations, Finance, IT, and Maintenance teams to improve processes and data quality. Drives automation of reporting and analytics processes to increase efficiency. - Compiles and analyzes financial information; conducts special financial studies and maintains abreast of industry trends.
- Has a solid, working knowledge of Investor Relations and Financial analysis.

Specialized Job Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of Operations major maintenance budgets, forecast shifts, and five-year projections.
- Use SQL to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from multiple systems (e.g., asset databases, financial systems, and benchmark data).
- Support business analytics initiatives to drive data-informed decision-making within asset management, outage services and operations teams.
- Collect and report project cost information to Operations management; stay informed of schedule changes impacting maintenance scopes and forecasts.
- Develop detailed project forecasts for centerline projects based on planned scope and analyze project-level cost drivers using scenario analysis.
- Contribute to data modeling, metric design, and process improvement efforts aligned with asset lifecycle management.
- Perform variance, trend and root cause analyses to explain deviations in operational or financial performance.
- Assist in preparation of monthly internal management reporting packages on outage results, including variance analysis.
- Maintain familiarity with OEM contracts related to outages and spending commitments.
- Serve as a resource for solving operational and technical problems, often working independently and using judgement within defined policies.
- Share information and collaborate to resolve significant issues, clarify complex information and support ongoing projects.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS (Management Information Systems), Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline. Related experience will be considered.
- Requires 4-6 years' experience in related field, CPA preferred.
- Critical thinking, scenario modeling, financial and data analysis skills, including high proficiency in MS Excel.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Nice to have: Basic SQL proficiency and working knowledge of database management
- Familiarity with ERP, CMMS Applications, ITAM tools (ex: IBM Maximo)
