What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those unique to an educational environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
• Monitor and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns observed during patrols within the educational setting.
• Work collaboratively with campus staff, students, and visitors to address security-related questions and/or incidents.
• Follow all Allied Universal training, policies, and post orders specific to armed patrol duties in an educational location.
• Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas on campus.
• Document all incidents, activities, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
