CNC Lathe Machinist

Staffmark is hiring a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join a top manufacturing team in Dayton, OH. If you take pride in precision work, value quality, and enjoy solving technical challenges, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Friday may include overtime

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers.
• Review blueprints, sketches, or sample parts to determine specifications and tolerances.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.
• Calculate and adjust machining factors such as feeds, speeds, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
• Run first-piece operations and verify accuracy of machine programs.
• Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, height gauges, and precision instruments.
• Collaborate with engineers, team leaders, and production control to resolve issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

Qualifications

• 4-10 years of combined trade school, vocational education, or relevant machining experience.
• Strong understanding of machining theory, materials, and layout techniques.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push/pull, and lift 10-50 lbs as required.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and professional.
