We are seeking member-driven, exceptional communication skills and analytical thinking candidates for the position of a Collector.

This role is responsible for overseeing the collection of receivables in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in supporting Members' financial health while safeguarding the credit union's loan portfolio.

Key Job Functions:

  • Oversees and monitors delinquent accounts within Justice Federal.
  • Conducts consistent outreach to Members with past-due accounts, ensuring alignment with departmental KPIs and productivity standards.
  • Delivers credit counseling and proposes tailored solutions to enhance Members' financial stability while safeguarding the credit union's loan portfolio.
  • Accurately posts payments on delinquent loans in accordance with established guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Experience as a substitution for a High School Diploma may be considered.
  • One to three years of similar or related experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution.
  • Exceptional communication skills-both verbal and written-with strong Member service and negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable federal and state lending regulations.
  • Prior experience in an outbound call center setting preferred.
  • Skilled in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and legal documents, including garnishments, judgments, and bankruptcy filings.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs., as needed, and requires extended periods of sitting and/or standing and to be able to use PC, copier, scanner, fax, etc.

Compensation ranges are based on market data that enables Justice Federal Credit Union to remain competitive with other credit unions of similar asset size.
