Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Philadelphia, PA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

- Assemble, install, and adjust mechanical and electrical subassemblies under the guidance of PI Technicians and Engineers.

- Support troubleshooting and testing activities by preparing tools, materials, and work areas in compliance with safety and EHS procedures.

- Perform basic diagnostic checks on components, cables, and connectors to verify function and ensure readiness for testing.

- Assist with field modifications (FM) and equipment updates on rail vehicles and subsystems.

- Document assembly steps, inspection results, and test outcomes accurately in the maintenance or quality tracking system.

- Maintain organized workstations, tools, and equipment, ensuring compliance with Alstom's safety, cleanliness, and environmental standards.

- Collaborate closely with the PI and Warranty teams to ensure efficient handoffs and support site operations during troubleshooting or commissioning phases.

- Participate in ongoing training to develop technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and systems assembly.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/hr

Hours: 40 hrs/week

Length: Temp to direct

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical/electronic applications.
  • Minimum 2 years of Field experience in demonstrating a structured and organized, hands-on approach.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good desire to learn, whether through mechanical or electrical aptitude, and a drive to independently discover root causes.
  • Ability to maintain a collaborative attitude and effective communication skills is crucial.
  • Completion of internal EHS training.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Good supporter of teamwork complemented by excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to adjust daily activities to accommodate stakeholder needs and environmental changes.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be needed to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Flexibility, with agility as a core work value, including the ability to travel for business on short notice (approximately every 2 months for 2-4 day trips).
