Responsibilities and Expectations:
Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HSE Coordinator for our Tampa Service Center. As the HSE Coordinator for IPS, you will apply Servant Leadership principles to build trust and open communication as you lead CIPS, QA, and safety activities and ensure compliance with all environmental, quality, health, and safety regulations.
- Serve as the primary HSE point of contact across assigned service centers.
- Conduct regular site visits to support the implementation of HSE programs and CIPS progression.
- Facilitate and support incident reporting, investigation, and resolution activities across sites.
- Coach and guide site leadership and element owners on execution of their HSE responsibilities.
- Perform and support risk assessments, JHAs, and field hazard identification.
- Lead site-level safety training, toolbox talks, and safety stand-downs.
- Support completion of Leader Standard Work (LSW) and monitor follow-through.
- Collaborate with site teams to complete monthly HSE workshop deliverables.
- Assist in maintaining an environmental compliance calendar across assigned locations.
- Share best practices and lessons learned across sites to promote standardization.
- Complete safety walkthroughs, behavior-based safety observations (BBS), and audits regularly.
- Act as liaison between site-level HSE needs and the Regional HSE Manager.
- Track and analyze HSE performance metrics, leading small-scale improvement initiatives.
- Participate in and support HSE Steering Committees and worker engagement programs.
- Support coordination with vendors, contractors, and third parties as needed for HSE-related matters.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or Process Engineering preferred.
- Strong project management skills and process orientation
- Quality management background preferred
- Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite tools
- Ability to be innovative, creative, and a proven self-motivated, team-oriented attitude
- Attentive and active listening skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization and within a presentation setting
- Experience balancing strategy and execution, ability to get 'hands-on' with the business while understanding the processes needed to deliver results
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment while practicing continuous improvement methodologies
