Overview

  • Minimum typing of 25wpm
  • Healthcare experience and dispatching experience preferred
  • Holiday and weekend rotation

Oversee day-to-day dispatch center operations. Assists the Security Supervisor/Manager/Director with security initiatives, projects, and special assignments. May be required to work on call, flexible hours, alternate shifts, and weekends. Perform other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly leads the daily activities of the Security Operations Dispatch Center.

  • Assist in establishing security dispatch policies and procedures.

  • Orient and train security dispatch staff and complete training documentation.

  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance of staff.

  • Assist in maintaining security schedule and ensure timely reporting for duty of dispatchers.

  • Maintain a list of all camera locations, alarms, and panic buttons throughout the system to ensure they are functioning properly per dispatch protocols.

  • Act as a liaison for dispatchers between the Security Supervisor/Manager.

  • Assist with supervising the daily function of security Dispatcher.

  • Assure daily completion of security logs/reports by all staff and review logs/reports daily

  • Assist with administrative duties, as assigned, such as payroll, data collection, and timekeeping.

  • Assist with performance reviews for applicable security partners.

  • Assist in establishing and meeting performance improvement goals for the security department.

  • Ensures complete and accurate contact records are maintained for all emergency services throughout the Mercyhealth geographic location. (I.E. Law Enforcements, Fire Departments, etc.)

  • Checks dispatch area for cleanliness and safety.

  • Maintain knowledge of, and monitor the Mercyhealth environment using electronic security equipment (CCTV, Alarms, etc.)

  • Coordinate and conduct applicant interviews as needed for potential partners.

  • Work in time keeping system when required.

  • Periodically assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and other materials for meetings. Makes necessary arrangements and notifies attendees. Compose, type, and distribute meeting minutes, routine correspondence and other related materials as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Healthcare security experience preferred.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Previous dispatcher experience preferred.

Security or law enforcement experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).

Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.

Officers required to work in the dispatch center must be able to type 25 wpm.

Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
