The Access Center serves as a centralized call center supporting Primary Care practices. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Clinical Manager (RN) to lead and support our high-performing team.

In this role, the Manager will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and partner with colleagues across multiple supported practices. The ideal candidate is data-driven, forward-thinking, and skilled in change management. This leader will oversee a team, including direct and indirect reports primarily a Supervisor and triage RNs, and will work in close partnership with peer leaders within the Access Center, and the supported practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving performance and productivity across the team
  • Leading strategic initiatives, pilots, and improvement projects
  • Collaborating with leadership to support operational growth and innovation

This position follows a Monday-Friday schedule and offers a hybrid work arrangement, with time shared between on-site and remote work.

Summary:
The Clinical Manager is responsible for supervising and overseeing all operational aspects of the clinical department, including clinical services and staffing needs. The Clinical Manager is responsible for coordinating the clinical work flow in order to provide the most efficient, effective, safe and comprehensive patient care. The Clinical Manager will work with physicians, midlevel providers and clinical staff to increase the volume of clinical outpatient services, referral process, patient flow, and maximize the productivity of each practice location.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: BSN preferred
  2. License/Certifications: Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  3. Experience: Supervisory/managerial experience preferred. Experience working with computers.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and standards, medical procedures, tests, and clinical/clerical skills necessary to perform all functions and assist physicians. Knowledge of pharmacology is desirable.
  5. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers.
  6. Analytical ability sufficient to identify patients at risk and initiate appropriate action.
  7. Ability to identify potential crisis situations involving patients and/or families, and to plan strategies for managing these situations when they arise.
  8. Analytical ability required gathering and interpreting information necessary to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality
