- Manage production workflow and materials to meet scheduling and operational requirements.
- Direct purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving functions to ensure supply chain excellence.
- Define and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate cost, quality, and service performance.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Oversee transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of products and materials.
- Contribute to strategic and tactical business planning, supporting both short- and long-term growth objectives.
- Proactively monitor performance trends and take corrective action to ensure achievement of operational targets.
- Model and reinforce company values, ensuring alignment between management expectations and organizational goals.
What you'll bring...
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field with seven (7) years of distribution/shipping operations management or leadership assignments demonstrating a progression of increased scope and responsibility, or
- Seven (7) years' supervisory experience required with strong leadership and management skills in a high-volume warehouse and/or distribution center
- Advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance
- Production planning, materials planning, and purchasing experience
- Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams
- Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas, approaches and solutions
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadline
- Demonstrated project management experience
Preferences:
- SAP and/or equivalent production and logistics software experience
- Lean manufacturing experience
