* Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsible for the supervision, direction, and coordination of the Grand Island Maintenance operations on the campus of the Grand Island Facility, which includes direct supervision of skilled tradesmen in promoting reliability of manufacturing equipment and maintenance of buildings, grounds and utilities. The incumbent enhances plant's ability to meet production schedules while assuring compliance to all regulatory guidelines in complete accordance with applicable SOP's, DEA, OSHA and cGMP's regulations. The Maintenance Supervisor will aid in staff development, hiring, disciplinary processes, and direction to complete assigned activities.

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures the safe and quality focused work environment while accepting accountability for all activities within this position's control. Investigation work, corrective and preventative actions are incumbent of this position. Responsibilities

Monitors upcoming PM's and existing open PM work orders and ECR's for the entire facility.

  • Facilitates/coordinates planning and scheduling of PMs and ECR work through assignments to hourly personnel, through communication with shift Lead Mechanics and/or line-ups, or through system development that accomplishes the objective of meeting targeted completion dates.
  • Works/communicates with other departments to schedule downtime to accommodate required work.
  • Manages resources (e.g.: tools, drawings, manpower, including OT, contractors) for cost effective execution of planned work.

Assists in maintaining inventory for equipment spare parts and tools in keeping with inventory control strategies of the department.

Provides administrative and clerical work as directed by the Maintenance Manager. This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Initiating Work Orders and ECR's
  • Tracking status and location of W/O's and ECR's (in conjunction with maintenance coordinator)
  • Modifies Maintenance SOP's in "Documentum"
  • Writes investigations in "Trackwise"

Participates as a technical resource person or as a facilitator to coach/train maintenance personnel for some mitigation plans, technical learning that results from investigations or initiatives for improvement.

  • Mentors tradesmen and anyone else in the plant on the functionality and appropriate behaviors for use of systems (PM, calibration, ECR, System's Release, metrics generation and updates).
  • Works closely with QA to interpret and roll out strategies and methods to maintain compliance with agency commitments and requirements.
  • Completes System Release review and approval to ensure that Preventive Maintenance Systems do not have adverse impact on product and ensuring that we are in full compliance. [Reviews PM status weekly to complete systems release for products manufactured in the period.]
  • The incumbent is the SME (subject matter expert) for all Maintenance compliance-tracking initiatives and compliance-assurance systems and as such, is the representative of the Company during FDA audits, briefings, and meetings, as well as advisor to the plant leadership.
  • Aids in reviewing all area SOPs and revising to encompass any changes in procedure

Ensures all area personnel are current in their training requirements; Trains employees to area-specific Curricula and company policies and procedures.

Ensures a safe work environment and that all personnel work in a safe manner.

Works closely with HR on policy changes, interpretation and execution, hiring of new employees, employee disciplinary action, performance appraisals and performance management.

Requirements
  • BS/BA in Technical discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical and/or Maintenance experience in a cGMP environment
  • Working knowledge of SOP's and cGMP's rules and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
