Role Summary

Join Associated Bank's Power & Utilities team as a Credit Analyst and help evaluate, manage, and grow relationships in the project finance and utility lending space. You'll work alongside experienced Portfolio Managers to analyze financial performance, assess credit risk, and support new lending opportunities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze financial statements and technical data to evaluate creditworthiness and support loan structuring decisions.

  • Partner with Portfolio Managers to manage and monitor existing client relationships and ensure compliance with credit policy and regulatory standards.

  • Prepare clear and comprehensive credit reports, risk assessments, and loan review materials for internal committees.

  • Utilize financial modeling tools, spreadsheets, and bank systems to assess portfolio performance and risk ratings.

  • Assist with due diligence, documentation, and credit administration for new and existing loans.

  • Support relationship teams in client interactions, credit presentations, and portfolio management activities.

  • Participate in community and business networking events to represent Associated Bank and strengthen client relationships.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in commercial or corporate banking, credit analysis, or financial statement review

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)

  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable

Preferred

  • Experience handling complex credits and financial modeling

  • Formal credit training or accounting experience

  • Sales or client-facing experience

  • CFA designation (or working toward certification)
