DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The position within the Bureau of Community Health Systems plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of core public health functions, with the aim of positively impacting the health status of Pennsylvanians. Duties will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating public health services and initiatives, as well as providing direct public health services and community liaison activities. The goal is to deliver these services in a high-quality, effective, and responsive manner, thereby contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

  • This position require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • This position requires an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
