POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Alutiiq Logistics & Maintenance Services, LLC (ALMS) has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Specialist at Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL.The Warehouse Specialist provides necessary support to operate and maintain the warehouse facilities. Work involved is typical of normal warehouse operations. 
     
 Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damagesRun inventory and reordering reportsAttend weekly meetingsField phone call and emails from co-worker, suppliers and transport centersProduce shipping labels and schedule package pickups for employees from outlaying facilitiesPackage and ship goods for JAMS business purposesHelp with disposal of obsolete and excess materialsPick up and deliver to/from various locations throughout the outlying areasSafely operate handcarts, forklifts, and vehiclesClean, maintain and schedule repairs for warehouse equipment and vehiclesKeep an organized and clean warehouse facilityStore property in warehouses and wareyardsIssue stock items to work ordersPrepare and ship outgoing items from warehouseAnnual physical inventory of all warehouses and wareyardsEvaluate inventory for usage and excess stockNotify responsible individual of the supplies and material upon arrivalEnter receipts and information into MAXIMO and FIMSCreate and maintain files for all purchased items and monthly invoicesTag property with bar codes, stock number, and asset labelsCreate Asset within MAXIMO and maintain changesIncumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and dutiesAccountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment.Ensures cleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.Unload and inspect supplies and material from various suppliersNotify buyer and supplier of shipment discrepanciesOperates forklifts to retrieve and relocate materials, supplies, and equipmentInterfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicableOperates motor vehicles In accordance with company vehicle policiesCompiles with applicable federal, state, United States Navy (USN) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulationsComplies with health and safely rules and procedures while performing work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environmentProcesses incoming and outgoing transactions in both the government's automated work program and JAMS's computer program, and routes hard copy documentation to appropriate departmentsRoutes materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods and ensuring locations are accurately noted in the government's automated work management systemPicks up and delivers materials to correct agencies and worksitesObtains correct signatures on vendor invoices and purchase orders (PO's)Maintains inventory of stored material to identify discrepancies, etc. as directed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 
     
 High School diploma or equivalencyFour (4) years' supply and/or warehouse experienceValid state driver's licenseBasic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)Minimum 2 years' supply and/or warehouse experienceForklift Certification and minimum 2 years' Forklift experienceAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certificationsAbility to solve problems and work Independently with minimal supervisionAbility to adapt to changes in technologyAbility to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situationsDemonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English
