Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, UT is a private residential treatment center for adolescents 12-17 years of age. We counsel, teach and mentor children placed in our care and give each child a chance to make successful changes. At Copper Hills Youth Center, we treat boys and girls who have emotional, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Our accredited private school allows students to continue their education while receiving treatment.

The Assistant Director of Nursing - Behavioral Health, is responsible for Infection Control, sterile and non-sterile physical care equipment monitoring and surveillance, resident and employee health care education and prevention monitoring and surveillance, medical records and quality assurance to maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, State and local standards at the facility. In this capacity, he/she also monitors and evaluates resident services and nursing documentation, prepares employee schedules, assists in resident and staff vaccinations. Works as a floor nurse when needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Registered Nurse graduate of an accredited school of nursing with State of Utah RN licensure
  • At least 2 years' experience in nursing leadership.
  • Experience in behavioral health field preferred.
  • Infection Control Preventionist experience preferred
  • Must be able to be CPR certified
