Position Announcement

Under the direction of the Dean of the College of the Arts, the Marketing Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, project management, and marketing support to advance the mission and strategic goals of the college. This role requires creativity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic arts environment. The Marketing Coordinator oversees marketing initiatives including the college newsletter and print material, coordinated event logistics from planning through execution, and promotes the college's programs, events, and achievements while ensuring efficient operations and professional communication. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive project management support to the Dean's Office, including coordinating initiatives, tracking deadlines, managing communications, and ensuring timely completion of college priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Develop, edit, and distribute the College of the Arts newsletter and coordinate print projects including brochures, programs, promotional materials, and signage, working with vendors and managing production timelines while maintaining brand consistency and quality standards.
  • Assist with planning and execution of college events as needed.
  • Monitor and track college budgets related to events, marketing, and special projects, preparing expense reports and maintaining organized filing systems, databases, and archives for college records in compliance with university policies.
  • Oversee and monitor all college social media accounts to ensure marketing success. Manage website content updates and maintain patron email lists and mailing databases while ensuring accurate contact information and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Assist with development and fundraising initiatives including donor research, maintaining donor databases, and supporting grant application processes through research, material compilation, deadline tracking, proposal preparation, and post-award reporting requirements.
  • Support college-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned, contributing creative ideas and project management expertise to advance the college's visibility, fundraising efforts, and community engagement goals.
  • Partner with the University Marketing and Communication Office to leverage institutional resources and maintain alignment with University brand standards across all materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in arts administration, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project coordination, event planning, or marketing support, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating newsletters, marketing materials, or other professional publications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, design software (Adobe Creative Suite Preferred), social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED:
  • Experience in higher education, arts organizations, or cultural institutions.
  • Background or coursework in visual arts, performing arts, or arts administration.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, website management, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of budget management and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with event management software and registration systems.
  • Experience supporting development or fundraising initiatives in an arts ort nonprofit setting, including donor research, database management, and assisting with grant application processes.

Supplemental Information

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time overtime-exempt staff position. Annual salary of $45,000-$49,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Desired start date of November/December 2025, end date of June 30, 2027, and is contingent upon funding thereafter.
