GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Senior Manager, Insights & Analytics leads the development and execution of analytics strategies in support of strategic business objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of analysts and data professionals, guiding the delivery of high-impact insights, and ensuring alignment with business goals. As a strategic thought leader, the Senior Manager bridges the gap between business processes and analytics solutions, driving innovation, operational excellence, and measurable business outcomes.

This role plays a critical leadership function in advancing the organization's analytics maturity, fostering a data-driven culture, and delivering scalable, actionable insights that support business priorities. The Senior Manager collaborates closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to influence decision-making and solve complex business challenges through data.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team of analysts and data professionals to deliver strategic, data-driven insights that inform business decisions and drive performance

  • Establish strong partnerships with line of business and functional leaders; develop a strategic understanding of their objectives and act as a trusted advisor

  • Shape and execute analytics strategies that align with enterprise goals and drive measurable impact to the business

  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership

  • Oversee the development of dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and data visualizations that support business needs and enable data-driven decision-making

  • Guide the design and implementation of advanced analytics solutions, including predictive models and data products

  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of data across reporting and analytics platforms

  • Prioritize and manage a portfolio of analytics initiatives, balancing strategic priorities with operational needs

  • Promote continuous improvement in analytics processes, tools, and methodologies

  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices in analytics, data science, and business intelligence

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data usage, reporting, and analytics practices

  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback. Developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth. Developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning. Recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science); master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in financial services or a regulated industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead analytics strategy and deliver insights that drive business outcomes.
  • Strong technical proficiency in analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
  • Demonstrated experience building data models or data products and applying advanced analytical techniques.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to present complex data to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to influence decisions at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and risk management practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
  • Extended viewing of a CRT screen.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
