Application Window Open date: September 23, 2025 Next review date: Thursday, Oct 23, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Mar 23, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco is recruiting a full or part- time Endocrinologist as a clinician-educator at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and Trauma Center at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The primary responsibility will be for patient care and teaching. We are seeking applicants with creativity, determination, good people skills, strong educational skills and a desire to serve the safety net population. Responsibilities will include outpatient clinical effort in general endocrinology (including thyroid FNA) and diabetes in addition to inpatient consult attending. This position will entail education and training of endocrinology fellows, medicine residents and medical students. Secondary responsibilities and percent effort are flexible and will be guided by applicant interest. There is an expectation that over time the applicant will develop a focused area of clinical expertise and creative efforts (e.g. research, QI, teaching) based on the applicant's interests and skills. Candidates must hold an MD (or equivalent) with license (or eligible to obtain license) to practice medicine in California. Candidates must also be Board Certified (or eligible) in Endocrinology or Metabolism. ZSFG opened a new hospital in 2016 and offers compassionate and culturally competent care to a diverse community of patients in more than 20 languages. ZSFG is a part of a city-wide integrated health care system, providing primary, specialty and hospital care for populations prioritized by the City and County of San Francisco.
