McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Sales Operations Analyst. The Sales Operations Analyst will provide high quality support to key print customers, digital subscription sales, and to support the Director of Sales Operations. Tasks include performing sales support to MHE/ Professional's largest customers, and administrative duties to ensure efficient, high-quality operation of the department. Perform a variety of tasks in support of the sales team which include, but are not limited to, working with both internal and external customers to research, follow up and resolve customer related inquiries that cannot be handled by Customer Service, operational system issues, shipping related items, special order processing, pricing inquiries, and stock questions related to special orders. Develop sales and ad-hoc reports from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Assist in the creation of sales commission worksheets and Incentive plan distribution and payment, assist in the planning and coordinating of meetings, and the operation of standard office equipment. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. What you will be doing:
- Monitor key customer order flow for delays; resolve systematic issues, order holds, and shipping problems.
- Review order hold reports, distribute policies and changes to teams, and research/dispute infraction penalty charges.
- Assist the Credit Department with price discrepancy research, process credit adjustments, Co-op credits, and special handling orders.
- Answer pricing and stock inquiries, process orders requiring special tracking, and create/follow service requests.
- Assist with digital subscription order processing.
- Coordinate special offers, including compiling ISBN lists, obtaining approvals, creating/distributing promotional materials, setting up promotion codes, and tracking sales performance for year-over-year comparisons.
- Create, run, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports from EDW; perform EDW "super user" responsibilities and train staff as needed.
- Develop and provide EDW reports to MHP staff upon request.
- Perform technical administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, scheduling meetings, and processing Pcard transactions.
- Submit Oracle/NOTC requests for territory adjustments, account setups, and Comp sales adjustments.
- Convert EDW raw data into databases, research sales items, and publish accurate reports.
- Maintain and update sales tracking information according to business needs.
- Develop and publish accurate daily domestic and international sales snapshots.
- Provide backup support for management, reporting specialists, and digital coordinators.
- Participate in consistent cross-training with Manager and Sales Reporting Specialist to ensure seamless workflow and comprehensive knowledge of sales reporting processes.
- Build strong relationships and interact frequently with Sales management, reps, Fulfillment Operations & Logistics, Credit, and other business groups.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, maintain attention to detail, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Work collaboratively across teams, leverage data insights, and adapt to changing business needs.
We're looking for someone with:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of customer-facing experience preferred.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and a thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with McGraw-Hill systems (Oracle, EDW, Salesforce.com) is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent planning, organizing, project coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels internally and externally.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to handle projects responsibly.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently within pre-established guidelines.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Stability and composure under pressure, especially when addressing customer concerns.
- Self-motivation and ability to work without constant supervision.
- Knowledge of digital and subscription products is helpful.
- Proficiency in Oracle and external vendor subscription databases.
- Comprehensive understanding of the subscription and ebook process from start to finish.

The pay range for this position is between $62,000 - $75,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
