The Nomo Soho New York is seeking an experienced Business Transient Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. The Business Transient Sales Manager will be responsible to manage business accounts to achieve guest satisfaction, and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Move through property to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.

2. Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.

3. Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Maintain active selling calendar to ensure that activity goals are met on a weekly basis to ensure revenue goals are supported with the proper outreach and prospecting.

4. Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition.

5. Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.

6. Represent hotel at trade shows. Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.

7. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear information to staff.

8. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

10. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
  • Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of hotel structure and how all departments interact.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints.
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
  • Opera, Delphi, Lighthouse, Agency 360 experience is recommended.

For applicants in NYC, the anticipated compensation range is $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on factors such as experience, education, and work location. Crescent Hotels & Resorts is a multi-state employer, and salary ranges may vary for positions in other states.
