Job Description:
- The Wage Determination (WD) rate will be based on the individual candidates as it goes by their home county and they are 100% travel (remote) and will receive per diem.
- H&W Rate: TBD (paid in addition to their hourly pay rate for the 1st 40 hours worked each week)
Role & Responsibilities:
- Electricians.
- Install 110v circuits for outlets from break panels to equipment location.
- Bend and mount conduit.
- Install teleco wallboards on facility walls.
- Mount stainless steel boxes on exterior walls.
- Install grounding buss bars.
- Our client is looking for an amazingly talented Air Traffic Systems Electrician to join our team! In this role you will get to perform installation of navigational aids, communications systems, and weather monitoring equipment on airfields across the United States National Air Space (NAS).
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to our client in April 2023. Our client is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.
- This position works as part of a construction and installation crew installing new or upgrading existing equipment and systems such as navigational aids, air traffic communications systems, and weather monitoring equipment.
- The Electrician completes projects on airports and at remote facilities in various environments establishing new or upgrading existing airfield or air traffic control systems such as Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), visual landing aids (PAPI, REIL, etc.), remote communications systems (RCAG, RTR), and radar systems (ASR, ARSR).
- Work will involve electrical systems installation, civil construction tasks, and electrical equipment installation tasks.
Required Skills:
- Candidate must be a licensed electrician.
- Candidate must have extensive experience with above and below ground electrical installations, duct banks, manholes, steel racks, towers and poles, surveying, concrete work, excavation equipment operations, and airfield systems.
- Candidate must be familiar with construction quality and safety best practices.
- Candidate must be able to read, interpret, and implement project drawings, specifications, and client orders and standards.
- Candidate should have experience with the use of electrical and electronics test equipment.
- 100% travel is required throughout the United States, its territories and possessions, and anywhere federally owned and operated air traffic equipment is operated.
- Must pass government background check to qualify.
- Must be able to pass fleet driver motor vehicle history check as well as DOT physical requirements.
- 8 plus years of experience required.
- OSHA 30 training preferred.
