What you'll do:

As the Plant Controller for DuraMag (an Aebi Schmidt Group Brand) based at our facility in Waterville, ME, you'll empower plant operations leadership with insightful oversight and forward-thinking business planning. Your influence will shape key performance indicators, drive meticulous month-end closures, and guide budget and forecast management.

This role is ideal for a seasoned financial professional eager to gain operational insight and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule: 4 days in plant/1 day remote

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control initiatives
  • Analyze plant costs, material and labor variances, and inventory management to drive profitability
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal policies, and financial reporting integrity
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to provide financial insights that support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making
  • Spearhead cost-out initiatives, track KPIs, and support multi-site process enhancements
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual AP/and A/R Close cycle, including preparation of, and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other reporting requirements as needed

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Five or more (5+) years of finance/accounting experience in manufacturing
  • Strong cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with operations and drive financial results
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to interpret financial reports, identify risks, and provide actionable insights
