TITLE: IT Infrastructure Coordinator 1

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt

SALARY: $70,000 - $80,000

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The Infrastructure Coordinator 1 is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing small to medium size infrastructure projects within an established timeline, budget and policy. This includes directing resources, coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors. Documenting and maintaining all data collected over the project life cycle. Act as liaison between project stakeholders and Salvation Army IT specialists.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Communication (50%)



  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, IT staff, users, and vendors as needed.
  • Advise stakeholders of potential delays, budget overruns, or technical issues.
  • Provide weekly project status updates and maintain project tracking tools.
  • Communicate all changes affecting users, or sites, in advance of implementation.
  • Facilitating regular meetings with all stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment.


Design (25%)



  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Team and stakeholders to define the project scope and design.
  • Oversee and evaluate contractor and equipment quotes for professional services and installation.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, services, and proposals via Purchase IT.
  • Create detailed project timelines and implementation schedules.


Deployment (25%)



  • Schedule IT staff and contractors for installation and commissioning activities.
  • Plan and facilitate user training and system access.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee project design, installation and quality assurance.


Extensive travel to Salvation Army locations in the Western Territory will be required to fulfill the duties of this job.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create clear and concise report and business correspondence.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficient with PC-compatible desktop hardware and software.
  • Ability to adopt working knowledge of internal Salvation Army procedures as they relate to business processes.
  • Working knowledge of project design and implementation; familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) is a plus.
  • Previous work experience with electronic document management is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience managing both short and long-term projects, including oversight of contractors, and vendors.
  • Customer service orientated with ability to be sensitive to user's needs in a professional manner.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple, concurrent tasks and priorities.
  • Willing and able to learn new software applications, and systems.


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or five years related industry experience.
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure Nomenclature and elements.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
