Auria is seeking a highly skilled
Graphic Designer with a strong technical aptitude to support the development of government proposals and related products. This is a
Part-Time On-Call (PTOC) position. The ideal candidate will specialize in creating clear, compelling, and professional technical visuals-including data flow diagrams, solution and architecture graphics, workflows, and presentation materials-that effectively communicate complex technical concepts to government customers.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Develop data flow diagrams, solution/architecture graphics, and workflow illustrations for inclusion in proposals, white papers, and technical deliverables.
- Design and format technical presentation materials (PowerPoint and related products) to clearly articulate Auria's solutions and value propositions.
- Work closely with proposal managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to translate technical content into visual formats that enhance clarity and persuasiveness.
- Ensure all visuals align with Auria's branding, government proposal standards, and compliance requirements.
- Adapt complex concepts into simplified visual representations to support evaluators' understanding.
- Collaborate across teams to iterate designs under tight deadlines typical of proposal environments.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Technical Communication, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Staff level requires Bachelor's degree plus 3-6 years of experience; or a Lead requires Bachelor's degree plus 5-10 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating technical diagrams, architecture illustrations, and workflow graphics (samples/portfolio required).
- Proficiency with design and presentation tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Visio (or Lucidchart/Gliffy equivalents).
- Strong ability to understand technical content and quickly learn Auria's solutions in domains such as space operations, cybersecurity, and command and control.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong communication/collaboration skills.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Experience supporting government proposals or working in the defense/space/cyber sectors.
- Familiarity with proposal formatting requirements (Section L & M compliance).
- Knowledge of cloud-native, AI/ML, or space system architectures a plus.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $58k-$84k for Staff and $72k-$104k for Lead
