Position Description: Provide support for
payroll-related projects and initiatives to facilitate accuracy, efficiency,
and compliance of payroll systems and processes.

Reports to: Senior Accounting
Manager, Payroll Projects & Systems

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for payroll-related data requests for internal and external audits and reporting.
  • Develop, document, and maintain procedures for payroll processes and systems, including year-end payroll processes.
  • Provide first-level response for payroll service desk tickets and assist with escalated issues requiring advanced reviews.
  • Collaborate with others to develop business requirements and documentation for payroll system changes, enhancements and related initiatives.
  • Conduct testing for payroll system updates and other payroll-related projects.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and generate General Ledger (GL) entries.
  • Provide support for new HRIS system implementation, monitor data replication between systems to ensure transfer data accuracy.
  • Perform regular payroll audits to validate data accuracy and integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and system errors through to completion or escalate for additional support.
  • Design and generate new payroll reports as directed.
  • Manage and execute year-end payroll tasks, including annual income reporting and SAP variant maintenance.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives, using continuous improvement concepts, processes, and methodologies.
  • Develop and present Payroll department training sessions as directed.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program, with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Familiar with Finance applications, related database structures, reference fields, and query development
  • Experience with Payroll applications (e.g., SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), Employee Central Payroll (ECP)), including specific characterizations and codes (e.g., Info types, transaction codes)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (e.g., formulas, tables); experience with macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), a plus
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Repeatable Process Automation (RPA), highly desired
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing concurrent priorities
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Demonstrate integrity, reliability, adaptability, and proactive approach to taking on new responsibilities
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills; with presentation delivery skills
  • Limited travel
