Position Summary: A Route Supervisor (RS) position responsible for supervising and directing the work activities of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) ensuring the highest standards of customer service are kept within the framework of a safe and productive operation. Position responsibilities:
When all routes are covered the RM (Route Manager) will perform specials for customers, audit inventories at customers, and aid in training CSRs and any other duties as assigned by the RM or DM (Division Manager).
Available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary to be able to meet our customer's needs.
Responsible for other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential skills, experience, and education:
HS Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of experience and technical/managerial training needed.
1-3 years related experience in customer service or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to use mobile devices to accurately service customers.
Ability to be flexible with work schedule.
Hold a valid driving license.
Ability to obtain applicable federal and state DOT certification to run and UTD vehicle.
Physical demands:
Comfortable working outside in severe weather, handling soiled garments, and delivering products to various locations. Be very flexible with work hours and must be able to adjust schedules with little or no prior notification. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly talk and listen. The employee must often stand, walk, drive, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must often lift and move up to 75 pounds and occasionally push carts that may weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
This job sometimes runs in an office environment and will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position also requires visits to other facilities and departments and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, temperature variations, and loud noise levels in some work areas. May also be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
