What we need We are seeking an experienced & strategic Sr. Transformation Consultant to join our newly formed Office of Transformation. This role will drive critical, cross-functional programs aligned with BCBSMA's strategic priorities and transformational initiatives. The Sr. Transformation Consultant will support ideation, discovery, business case development, planning, execution, risk management & stakeholder engagement for business transformation initiatives that enable business growth, operational efficiency and organizational change. Candidates local to our Hingham, MA or Boston, MA office are preferred. Your Day to Day Strategic Transformation Program Leadership & Delivery
- Translate focus area or division strategy into actionable, measurable initiative plans with clear objectives, timelines, financials, and outcomes.
- Execute and continuously improve comprehensive program charters, roadmaps, and governance structures that ensure accountability & strategic alignment.
- Co-lead the end-to-end execution of focus area or division transformation initiatives that advance our strategy, operational effectiveness and member experience.
- Implement and coach teams on governance structures, frameworks, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making effectiveness.
- Manage cross-functional execution ensuring timely delivery and desired outcomes to improve affordability, customer experience, efficiency, and culture evolution.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure transformation progress and impact in close partnership with initiative stakeholders and leaders.
Strategic Advisory & Thought Leadership
- Serve as a trusted partner to initiative leaders translating initiative vision into actionable projects - ideation, prioritization, planning, delivery and value realization.
- Facilitate alignment cross-functionally; anticipate friction points and broker solutions that maintain momentum.
- Deliver clear, compelling communication materials for senior audiences, including ongoing status reporting, dashboards and presentations.
- Bring a consultative approach to framing problems, identifying opportunities & recommending solutions.
Value & Risk Management
- Apply analytical rigor to assess focus area or division performance, uncover root causes and quantify impact.
- Ensure transformation initiative(s) deliver business outcomes and benefits realization, resulting in strategic value for BCBSMA.
- Proactively identify initiative & project level risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement & foster a fail-fast mentality for initiatives to ensure solutions are positioned to optimize value realization and can pivot when necessary.
Change Leadership & Enablement
- Adopt the enterprise change management strategy and roadmap to the transformation programs, in tight collaboration with human resources and other key stakeholders.
- Co-lead comprehensive management plans for the transformation programs with stakeholder assessment, impact analysis, and tailored change activities to cultivate commitments to changes with clear ownership and accountability.
- Implement the change network of informal leaders to support the change management progress for the transformation programs.
- Partner with communication teams to execute compelling communication plans to articulate the vision, progress, and impact of operational and transformation efforts.
- Build a reputation as a change agent and drive demand for change throughout the enterprise.

- Proven experience managing large-scale, highly complex business transformation initiatives that lead to real impact to revenue, medical cost, operational expenses and member experience
- Experienced in the development and implementation of individual and team level coaching support associated with strategic value and outcome-driven roadmap development
- Experience with portfolio planning, value realization and business case development
- High emotional intelligence, adaptability and comfort with the complexity of transformation and enterprise change
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with experience briefing senior-level committees.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of business transformation management experience, with at least 5 years managing large, cross-functional business initiatives.
- Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-year business programs in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Experience in health care, payer, insurance consulting or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
- Domain-level experience in Claims, Service, Health & Medical Management or Sales is strongly preferred

Salary Range: $128,700.00 - $157,300.00

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
