Position Summary: Under general supervision of the Production Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of tasks related the production of signs and graphics in our sign production facility. We are a full service, custom sign shop that provides quality products and services to our awesome customers. A team member in this role will run our Kongsberg flatbed cutter, help fabricate, and assemble various types of signs and vinyl. This is a great fit for those who like to work with a small team, make things with your hands and feel the pride of seeing a finished project come to life. Work Arrangement: This position is able to work onsite, at our Lansing location. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Willing to work overtime during peak business times - including occasional weekends. An offer of employment with MSU Federal Credit Union and affiliates is contingent upon the agreed work arrangement (onsite/hybrid/remote) and work location. MSU Federal Credit Union may or may not be able to accommodate temporary or permanent changes to work arrangements or allow employment outside the city and/or state of residency in which the new hire resides at the time of offered employment. Compensation & Benefits:
- This position starts at $18.00+/hour, dependent on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and understand written job instructions.
- Operate a Kongsberg flatbed cutter.
- Learn and use proprietary cutter software.
- Load materials and ensure proper tools are used.
- Monitor the machine during the cutting process to ensure high quality output and minimize waste.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the equipment.
- Aid in other production tasks as needed.
- Comfortable working without direct supervision for long periods of time.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
- The ability to perform basic shop math.
- Willingness to learn cutting software.
- The ability to use and read a tape measure.
- A basic mechanical understanding and experience operating complex machinery.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment.
- A strong attention to detail and quality checks for ensuring final products meet specifications.
- Willing to perform repetitive, tedious tasks.
- Comfortable working with computers and different proprietary software.
- Experience in the weeding, taping, and application of vinyl sign film.
- Able to safely operate non-computer driven power tools including a drill press, table saw, belt sander, and pedestal grinder.
- Able to safely operate various handheld power tools including a portable sander, air sander, cordless drill and cordless saws.
- Able to drive a fork truck.
- Knowledge of sign substrates.
- Ability to use a digital caliper to take precise measurements in both the U.S. Customary and Metric systems
- Able to operate a roll laminator.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- This position requires onsite presence at the employee's assigned location for all scheduled shifts.
- May be required to remain standing, seated or stooped in a stationary position for an extended period.
- Ability to operate standard office technology, equipment, and tools, which includes frequent use of a computer.
- Frequently needs to move about inside or outside of an office area.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the exposure.
- Frequently moves equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds for transport between areas of buildings.
- This position may require occasional off-site installation work.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
