Description
We will be hiring 10 juniors to join our Consultative Field Sales Internship Program in the summer of 2026 all over the US.
This summer internship experience will build a foundation of consultative sales skills in this complex industry. We seek to identify teammates who are eager to learn about our consultative sales process and add value through leading individual & group projects.

EXPLORE Program Activities:
  • You will lead individual regional projects, which may include:
    • Uncovering business intelligenceto identify new sales opportunities
    • Improving the Steelcase brand experience
    • Conducting competitive analysis
  • Participate in a summer-long group Innovation Challenge tackling a cross-functional problem.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to the consultative sales process by participating in client meetings, site visits, showroom tours, and ride-alongs with experienced sales professionals.
  • Participate in centralized sales training with your cohort from experienced sales coaches
  • Travel for a week to Grand Rapids, MI to build interactive sales skills, network with leaders and the larger intern cohort, and collaborate in-person on your group project.
  • Gain insight into the industry and our variety of customers - including dealers, architect + design firms, real estate professionals, leader groups and end users
  • Present your final individual and group projects to stakeholders and leaders across the Sales organization
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sales or aBusiness-relatedfield.
  • Strong relationship building skills, confidence to seek new relationships and eagerness to open doors at the decision maker level
  • Excellent, dynamic communication skills including presentation, written and verbal.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree at a nationally accredited program. Actively enrolled in a degree seeking program at the time of application and throughout the duration of the internship position.
  • Academic standing for this role: Rising Junior, expected to graduate between March and May 2027.
  • Ability to start the program full-time in - mid-May 2026
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.The company will not offer sponsorships or work visas now or in the future for this role.
Additional Details:
  • We provide acompetitive hourly wage,relocation assistance, and a housing/transportation subsidy, mileage reimbursement for local work travelfor studentsthat qualify.
  • This position involves frequent local travel and reliable personal transportation is required.
  • We will provide some local school housing options to explore, but you will be responsible for finding your own housing.
  • Top Interns will receive an offer to join our 6-month entry-level (field based) sales training program, called PACE.
