Project Coordinator, Office of the Executive Vice President for Health Sciences - Georgetown University

The Project Coordinator provides essential day-to-day administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Office of the Executive Vice President for Health Sciences (EVP-HS). This role is crucial for managing the administrative tasks associated with key projects and initiatives, from initial planning to completion. The coordinator is responsible for organizing meetings, tracking project progress, managing deadlines, and fostering a collaborative and professional environment within the office. This is a hands-on position ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume environment and deliver high-touch service to both internal and external contacts. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Manages day-to-day administrative and logistical tasks to keep projects on track
  • Coordinates complex calendars and schedules for the Executive team, proactively communicating changes
  • Plans and organizes internal and external meetings and events, including preparing materials and managing logistics
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for the office, fielding inquiries with professionalism and care
  • Provides comprehensive project and administrative support for special initiatives


Work Interactions

The Project Coordinator reports to and provides direct support to the Deputy to the EVP-HS. The role also provides support to the senior leadership team within the Office of the EVP-HS, including the Vice President for Finance, Vice President for Strategic Management and Operations, and the Vice President for Faculty & Academic Affairs. This position is a critical component of the office's operations, ensuring that the team's capacity is optimized and that key initiatives are executed efficiently. The incumbent works closely with faculty and staff across the Medical Center and University to coordinate timelines, meetings, and efforts, fostering collaboration and alignment with the mission and strategic priorities of Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC).

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of five years of administrative or operational experience, preferably in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Google Workplace, online project management tools, and the ability to adopt new technology tools

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
