The Junior UX Designer plays a crucial role in supporting the creation of intuitive, engaging user experiences for our company's products and services. This role assists with various stages of the UX design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and testing, ensuring that the end products meet user needs and business goals. What Will You Be Doing?
- Assist in the UX design process for assigned projects from concept to completion; collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to ensure a cohesive and effective design flow.
- Participate in user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions; develop an understanding of user needs, behaviors, and market trends.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma and other industry-standard tools; focus on both web and mobile applications.
- Support the maintenance of a consistent user experience across various platforms and devices, contributing to enhanced user interaction and satisfaction.
- Stay updated with current industry trends and technologies to continuously refine and enhance UX strategies.
- Learn from senior designers and contribute to a culture of growth and innovation within the team.
- Build constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; assist in presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
- Support the design methods and procedures on new or special assignments, contribute to team dynamics and workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in UX design, demonstrating a basic understanding of design principles and user experience strategies.
- Strong portfolio of past UX projects, illustrating user empathy and design skills.
- Proficiency in Figma, including the creation of wireframes and interactive prototypes.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Engage with a dynamic team of professional designers and engineers in a creative and innovative environment.
- Utilize broad professional expertise and unique knowledge to contribute to company objectives and principles in a creative and effective way.

What's Our Offer? Salary Range: You`ll earn between $32.56 - $40.87 on an hourly basis, depending on experience. Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary. Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off. What Should You Expect? Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
