The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh seeks a dynamic, experienced leader to serve as the inauguralHead Coachfor its newWomen's Flag Footballprogram, set to launch inSpring 2026. This is a 100% appointmentresponsible for building the program from the ground up in alignment with UW-Oshkosh, WIAC, and NCAA Division III (emerging sport) guidelines.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Launch, lead, and manage all facets of the new Women's Flag Football program. Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes. Design and implement practice plans, training programs, and competitive strategies. Oversee team operations including travel logistics, equipment needs, and budget management. Foster a culture of academic success, leadership, inclusivity, and student-athlete well-being. Build and maintain positive relationships within the campus and greater Oshkosh community. Collaborate with campus departments to promote program visibility and support student-athlete development.
Department: Athletics Compensation: Starting at $50,000commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. 1-3 years of coaching and/or recruiting experience in women's flag football or a closely related field (e.g., football, women's athletics). Valid driver's license and ability to travel for recruiting and competition. Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree. Proven track record of program-building, recruiting success, and athlete development. Prior experience coaching in collegiate athletics. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
