We are seeking a Manager, Strategic Project Management to lead a dynamic and high-performing team of project managers at the forefront of implementing game-changing projects within our Corporate Program Management Office. The Senior Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role in cultivating a respectful, compliant and engaging workplace culture. Operating independently with general supervision, this position partners closely with HR Business Partners, managers, and employees to address workplace concerns, conduct thorough investigations, and support fair and consistent application of company policies. The role also contributes to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing associate engagement and satisfaction, while ensuring alignment with employment laws and organizational values.

This is a remote position however, candidates must be based in the Springfield, MO or Monett, MO area.

The salary range for this position is $70,916 - $82,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Conducts investigations into employee complaints or allegations of misconduct, ensuring fair and impartial processes are followed.
  • Consults with managers and HRBP's on performance matters, including documentation such as Performance Appraisal System (PAS), corrective action, Performance Improvement Plans, and preparation of termination documentation.
  • Provides guidance and support to managers in handling disciplinary actions, terminations, and other employee relations matters.
  • Partners with HR Business Partners to develop and implement associate engagement and satisfaction strategies. Provides training to managers and employees on topics such as performance management, conflict resolution, and harassment prevention.
  • Reviews and analyzes employee relations data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations to management as needed.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a dedicated HR role.
  • Experience with employee relations, mediation, and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Bachelor's degree.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience facilitating conflict resolution and workplace mediation, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations and promote constructive outcomes.
  • A balanced approach to employee concerns, demonstrating empathy, realism and sound judgement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to independently assess complex situations.
