Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) has an immediate opening for a Principal Corporate Counsel attorney to join the Global Deal Team, which takes pride in their collaboration, learning, energy, and relationship building with business leaders and customers. Your primary responsibility will be supporting Microsoft's Customer and Partner Solutions organization. In this role, you will work with cross functional teams to enable strategic relationships with Microsoft's most important customers while working on cutting-edge issues related to cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and similar technologies at the intersection of technology, business, and the law. ResponsibilitiesLegal Advice and Counsel Provide legal support to the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions organization, addressing complex legal and business matters. Lead complex technology transactions and develop negotiation strategies.Collaborate across CELA and business teams to solve problems and provide guidance.Engage outside counsel effectively and escalate matters appropriately to support informed decision-making.Stay informed of rules, regulations, and other statutory requirements relating to Microsoft's business and advise business clients and CELA colleagues accordingly.Communicate clearly to support negotiations, resolve issues, and advance projects.Support the business teams in ensuring legal compliance and in providing solutions to mitigate risks.
