Description Acara Solutions is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to work with our partner located in San Leandro, CA who specializes in Defense Manufacturing. Here is what you will get: Location: (100% onsite) Schedule: 9/80 Duration: 3-6 month temporary assignment Pay Rate: $45 to $50/hr Here is what you will do: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of supply chain programs, tools, and processes across multiple functions including commodity management, material management, procurement, and subcontracts. This role ensures sourcing and supply chain efforts align with and support broader business goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities: Develops, implements, and administers supply chain programs, tools, and processes across multiple functions, including commodity management, material management, procurement, and subcontracts. Ensures sourcing efforts meet business goals and objectives, aligning supply chain activities with strategic priorities. Performs analysis with functional leaders to identify areas for performance improvement across supply chain operations. Oversees and supports the implementation of strategic initiatives, including global sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality standards. Establishes, implements, and maintains supply chain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline operations, and implement effective solutions. Develops and maintains working relationships with global supply chain partners to support sourcing and delivery objectives. Designs and implements business metrics to monitor, track, and report sourcing project progress, ensuring alignment with performance targets. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or Graduate degree with 2 years of experience, or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. Proficient knowledge of supply chain functions, including procurement, material management, subcontracts, and commodity management Practical experience with project management and supporting strategic supply chain initiatives. Ability to analyze supply chain performance and implement improvements aligned with business objectives. Experience developing sourcing metrics and managing global supplier relationships.
