Overview

The Director, Digital Products is a strategic and execution-focused leader responsible for driving the vision, development, and performance of digital products within a defined vertical. This role leads cross-functional teams-including product management, engineering, design, and data-to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that meet user needs and advance business objectives. The Director ensures tight alignment between product strategy and enterprise goals, fosters a culture of experimentation and excellence, and serves as a key voice in shaping the digital roadmap across the organization.

    Salary: Competitive range of $140,000 - $175,000 per year. This range reflects the budgeted compensation for this role. The final offer will depend on experience, skills, and location.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a full-stack product team through the phases of the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and ongoing iteration
  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap that align with business goals, user needs, and enterprise architecture standards
  • Partner with engineering leadership to plan and execute product delivery, balancing new feature development with technical debt, infrastructure investments, and system scalability
  • Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, data, marketing, operations, and other business stakeholders to ensure alignment, remove blockers, and accelerate execution
  • Champion the voice of the customer by integrating feedback, user research, and market insights to shape product priorities and innovation opportunities
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and product success metrics; adapt strategy based on insights and results
  • Represent the product vertical at the executive level-communicating progress, roadmaps, resourcing needs, and strategic alignment
  • Make thoughtful trade-offs between near-term delivery and long-term product sustainability and platform health
  • Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics
  • Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required), Master's degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of product management experience, including at least five (5) years in a leadership role with accountability for both product and engineering delivery (required)
  • Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of software development, system architecture, and agile delivery practices
  • Balance product strategy with technical execution and business impact
  • Independently manage complex tasks and projects
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions
  • Present ideas in a compelling and structured format to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrate refined listening skills and emotional intelligence
