Overview

TRC Companies (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market-transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

The primary role of this position will be as a member of TRC's NIPSCO Commercial Program Outreach team to develop and implement outreach and education strategies to increase participation by the commercial and industrial customers, contractors, and vendors. Candidates must possess strong outreach skills, knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, and an understanding of the energy, environmental, and local economic landscape.


Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute against an established outreach plan and communicate a consistent brand and message
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to customers and contractors regarding their energy savings opportunities and how to utilize the program's offerings
  • Assist in developing outreach strategies to address specific sectors and markets
  • Provide sector intelligence by analyzing and summarizing data and trends within given markets and identifying opportunities to engage with these sectors
  • Identify outreach opportunities by ascertaining customer requirements and analyzing how the program can reach customers
  • Manage and track leads and projects utilizing TRC's project tracking system
  • Work closely with other functional groups, including program coordination and engineering
  • Attend and present at tradeshows and events as necessary, to promote and educate businesses on the benefits of the energy efficiency programs

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience implementing outreach strategies in the energy efficiency sector, or a related field, is preferred
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of outreach efforts and suggesting alternatives
  • Experience working with state agencies, public authorities, or utilities preferred
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the target audience and how to effectively engage multiple levels of decision-making within a company, municipality, or other local government or state agency
  • Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with commercial or industrial site energy efficiency evaluations or audits is a plus
  • Energy efficiency-related certifications are a plus, such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED AP (LEED Accredited Professional)

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $83,013.00 - USD $111,405.00 /Yr.
