Daikin Applied is seeking a Parts ID Manager who will be responsible for leading the Parts Identification team to deliver accurate, timely aftermarket solutions while reducing backlogs and improving customer satisfaction. This role oversees escalations, drives process improvements, develops self-service tools, and ensures cross-functional accountability to enhance product support and achieve business goals. What you will do:

Leadership & Team Development:



  • Manage, coach, and develop the PID Supervisor and a team of PID specialists to ensure technical accuracy, productivity, and professional growth
  • Effectively allocate workload through a rapid response process to balance urgent requests from standard cases, managing and reducing long lead times and backlog
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus


Customer Experience & Escalation Management:



  • Act as the main contact for critical escalations, ensuring prompt communication with Sales, Service, and Leadership teams
  • Collaborate with Reps, RPSMs, RESMs, RGMs, and Marketing to deliver excellent aftermarket support
  • Hold Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing accountable for timely responses and resolution to meet KPI


Strategic Initiatives & Process Improvement:



  • Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement efforts to eliminate waste, develop new processes, and standardize functions across different business units
  • Drive the creation of self-service content and digital tools to enhance customer independence and reduce team case load
  • Provide feedback to Engineering teams as the voice of the customer (VOC) to support ongoing product enhancements


Metrics, Reporting & Accountability:



  • Track and report monthly on team performance, backlog, customer satisfaction, and OTR rates
  • Keep leadership informed about field trends and emerging aftermarket needs
  • Manage the PID budget and maintain it within the monthly/yearly goal
  • Forecast staffing requirements to prepare business cases for additional resources when needed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • BA or BS Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 6-8 years of Parts ID experience
  • People leadership experience
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Masters Degree
  • 6-8 years of Parts ID experience
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,800k- 166,700K in MN . The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
