Ophthalmic Technician Alexandria VA Pay From: $24 Per Hour MUST: 1+ years of Ophthalmic Technician experience Must have experience with Manual Refractions A Scan and B Scan ultrasounds Visual Field Testing OCT's Perform Corneal Topography Assist with exams and procedures Administer eye drops Must be proactive and able to work independently DUTIES: The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Room patients Conduct visual field testing, OCTs, A-scan/B-scan ultrasounds and corneal topography Apply drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients by following standard operating procedures Operate various ophthalmic diagnostic equipment Conduct diagnostic testing for patients Triage patient phone calls Assist physicians with exams and procedures Prepares patients for treatment and assists ophthalmologist in Cataract surgery Provide patient education regarding treatments, use of drops and medications Perform routine instrument maintenance Open to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed Other Duties as Assigned Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
