Job Description:

The goal of this position is to provide support for Biology and Chemistry faculty teaching introductory courses (BIOL 1311, BIOL 2312, CHEM 1311, CHEM 1312). This part-time position is an in-person role with an anticipated 10 hours/week spent on campus at Trinity University.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

For up to 10 hours/week (approximately 5 hours for Chemistry courses, 5 hours for Biology courses), this position will support faculty who are teaching introductory courses. The exact nature of this work will be determined each semester by the particular needs of the faculty. Each semester, this position will work directly with faculty from Biology and Chemistry. This work may require use of softwares such as Google quizzes, PollEverywhere, Gradescope, and the Canvas LMS. (Prior knowledge of these softwares is not required.) Tasks that may comprise this support include, but are not limited to:

* Recording Student Attendances and Absences-This position will help faculty to maintain timely records for student attendance and work completion.

* Entering in Assignment and Assessment Grades-This position will help faculty with specific grading logistics such as entering homework grades, managing make-up work, and assessing submission of assignments.

* Scanning and Compiling Assignments and Assessments-This position will help faculty prepare assessments for grading by alphabetizing student work, scanning online quizzes and exams, and returning copies of exams or assignments to students who missed class and need to pick them up separately.
