Description

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for verifying the quality of scanned images, verifying that a work bundle has been indexed to the correct patient and facility, the correct document type and date have been applied, and any special instructions have been followed by the Document Classification Specialists.


Essential Functions




  • View scanned documents for quality
  • Process batches and work orders in the QC baskets per department guidelines for necessary corrections and clearly communicate those corrections to the appropriate contact.
  • Verify trends in work bundle processing by Document Classification Specialists and report issues to the Shift Supervisor or Team Lead
  • Ability to clearly communicate needed corrections to co-workers via document comments
  • Forward work orders to exception for correction
  • Meet or exceed minimum work rate and quality standards
  • Follow verbal and written instructions with limited supervision


Marginal Functions



  • Perform the functions of a Document Classification Specialist III as needed
  • Work with and alert the Shift Supervisor or Team Lead of any problems
  • Must be flexible in changing jobs and sharing workstations
  • Process records in the Document Model Builder

  • Ability to read and follow instructions with limited supervision

  • Must be able to work quickly while maintaining quality standards


  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts


  • High self-motivated and goal oriented


  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment


  • Ability to be flexible with project and instruction changes


  • Good problem solving abilities
