TITLE: Global Director Lean Manufacturing

LOCATION: Hybrid in Alsip, IL
on average 1-2days/wk

COMP RANGE: $170,000 - $200,000 plus bonus

Griffith Foods is hiring a Global Director Lean Manufacturing to manage all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement. In this role, you will employ Lean methodologies and tools in order to continue the Lean Transformation and build on the foundation.

This is your opportunity to be a part of Lean Transformation of global transformation involving 26 plants worldwide.

As a Global Director Lean Manufacturing, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving and leading performance improvements throughout the organization.

  • Train and coach on Lean methodologies to drive performance by eliminating waste throughout the organization.

  • Providing tools and direction, while assessing current state and identifying the focus of improvements.

  • Leading 2 direct reports and 6 indirect reports (1 from each region globally) to ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.

The Global Director Lean Manufacturing position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Are a proven leader with the demonstrated ability to set a vision, manage change, develop personnel and strategically plan for continuous improvement.

  • Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and can influence others across multiple levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels in the organization.

  • Exhibit financial and business acumen.

  • Are interested in learning various cultures and ways of working around the world while identifying standards and harmonizing toward those standards.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field

  • At least 10 years' experience in the Continuous Improvement (lean manufacturing) function, including at least 7 years of project management experience,

  • Background in manufacturing and/or engineering environments.

  • At least 7 years people management

  • Ability and willingness to travel globally 40%.

  • Willingness to work onsite in Alsip 1-2 days per week, when not traveling

What will set you apart:

  • Masters Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field.

  • TPM/Kaizen Instructor certification or Black Belt certification a plus.

  • Master Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification a plus.

  • Qualified Trainer is advantageous.

  • Food manufacturing CI experience.

  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), BRC and SQF.

  • Proficient with MS Programs, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook, and Power BI.

Most IT professionals come into the office once a week or less. Periodic onsite meetings may occur at our Lombard or Alsip (IL) locations.
