The Supervisor, Provider Relations & Credentialing, oversees the credentialing, onboarding, and provider relations processes for all incoming providers (Physicians and APPs). This leadership role manages the daily operations of the centralized credentialing team and supports provider engagement initiatives, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant credentialing and onboarding activities. The Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between new providers, institutional credentialing bodies, department leadership, Medical Staff Affairs, Recruitment, and other key stakeholders. This role ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and quality standards while leading, evaluating, and developing the credentialing team.
Job Description MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. EXPERIENCE: 1. Two (2) years of healthcare credentialing, provider relations, or medical staff services experience to include Direct Supervisory or Lead Experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Master's Degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration). 2. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification. Manage provider relations by serving as a key point of contact for new and existing providers during onboarding and credentialing processes. 6. Manage escalations and resolve complex credentialing and provider onboarding issues. 11. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and credentialing workflows.
