Where Data Does More. Join the Snowflake team. Snowflake is seeking a Telecommunications Industry Principal to join our Industry Go-to-Market (GTM) team. In this strategic role, you will partner with Field Sales teams to identify, develop, and close new use cases and business within targeted telecom accounts. As an industry visionary and trusted expert, you will leverage your proven experience in building and executing enterprise solution GTM strategies tailored for the telecoms sector. Reporting to the Global Head of Communications, Media, and Entertainment GTM, you will work closely with current and prospective customers, serving as a trusted advisor to deeply understand their unique business challenges and objectives. Your insights will help guide Snowflake's technology evolution to address critical telecom industry needs, influencing product development and enabling transformational outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership: Provide industry expertise and insights to develop customer account strategies, build trusted relationships with executives, and present Snowflake's vision for the future of data and AI in the industry. Ecosystem & Partnerships: Cultivate relationships across the Telecoms ecosystem, including customers, partners, and data providers. You will collaborate with our partner and alliance teams to identify, recruit, and enable industry-specific system integrators and ISV partners. Industry GTM & Enablement: Partner with product, marketing, and other teams to develop a cohesive GTM strategy and enablement materials. You will also strengthen the industry's enablement strategy internally, leading industry "communities of practice" to educate and empower sales, pre-sales, and customer success teams. Thought Leadership & Market Presence: Deliver industry-leading perspectives at key events and develop thought leadership content to create understanding and excitement for the tangible benefits of the AI Data Cloud. Product & Solutions: Collaborate with our product teams to prioritize and deliver industry-critical capabilities in product roadmaps and support their release to the industry. Account Acceleration: Focus on supporting the most important customers to maximize the business benefits of the AI Data Cloud. This includes informing account prioritization and the creation of solution and sales plays to enable our field teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Significant experience (15+ years) in the telecoms sector, ideally gained within a network operator or equipment provider environment. Demonstrated leadership in driving BI/Analytics and AI/ML programs - shaping transformation across multiple lines of business, including sales, marketing, finance, networks, and customer operations. Deep understanding of telecoms data sources (especially OSS/BSS) and associated technologies such as 5G, IoT, and cloud solutions. Proven ability to lead change, influence corporate strategy, and operate credibly with C-level executives and industry stakeholders. Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred. Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience designing and executing telecom-specific GTM strategies or solutions. Recognized as a trusted industry advisor or thought leader, with a track record of speaking at events, publishing articles, or engaging with industry organizations. Demonstrated ability to influence product development or align technology roadmaps within data, analytics, or cloud environments. Proven success facilitating C-level customer workshops, executive planning sessions, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working across sales, product, engineering, technology, and strategic partner teams.

- The estimated base salary range for this role is $285,000 - $425,200.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
