Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision, direction, and performance monitoring to achieve goals and meet departmental standards.
- Supervise the operational, financial, personnel activities and coordinate healthcare services in the Nuclear Medicine department.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment to physicians and purchasing.
- Demonstrate initiative for excellence and specialized knowledge to influence, motivate, train, and lead staff.
- Take ownership of assignments, special projects, pilot programs, and other duties, including performance improvement, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Interact with other departments to solve problems, elicit cooperation, and provide information reflecting the organization's professional and quality patient care standards.
- Assist all staff and modality leaders with PACS and EPIC issues and corrections to the system.
- Operate all routine nuclear medicine scanners and equipment safely and proficiently and serve as a resource to staff.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited two-year Nuclear Medicine Technology training program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or Certified by the NMTCB.
- Maintain an active BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Three years of directly related experience in a hospital setting with prior supervisory experience
