Onsite - Salt Lake City, UT Senior Supply Chain Specialist - Salt Lake City, Utah The Senior Supply Chain Specialist plays a critical role in managing complex supply chain operations specific to the aerospace and defense sector. This includes overseeing procurement, logistics, demand forecasting, and supplier management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant materials and components critical to aerospace and defense manufacturing and projects. The role demands strict adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and traceability requirements. Responsibilities:
  • Supports cross-functional teams in finding new sources, supplier selections and negotiations. This includes process improvements for quality and cost management.
  • Analyze program demand data versus supplier capacity to identify where additional capacity is needed. Support supplier capacity assessments as needed.
  • Support Buyers and Planners for critical materials and components with a focus on risk mitigation and supply continuity.
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to align supply chain activities with project specifications and timelines.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience, cost efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with government regulations, export controls, and company policies.
  • Analyze supply chain metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior supply chain staff and foster cross-functional teamwork.
  • Up to 25% Travel
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain roles within aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace and defense regulatory requirements, including ITAR, DFARS, AS9100, and related compliance standards.
  • Expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems commonly used in the industry.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma, or certifications specific to aerospace quality standards preferred.

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $100,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
