In this role, your mission and responsibilities will be to:

This Grinder role is responsible to smooth and finish metal parts, checking for defects and removing imperfections. They ensure quality by polishing surfaces and maintaining equipment. Specifically, you'll:



  • Examines and feels surface of product for defects.
  • Selects grade of abrasive belt, wheel or disk according to specifications and conditions of metal.
  • Starts grinder and moves over surface to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld and burs.
  • Polish ground areas with a finer abrasive to produce a smooth, unmarred finish.
  • Inspects finished products for consistency and quality, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
  • Cleans and maintains grinding equipment, ensuring that it operates efficiently and without malfunction.
  • Monitors the grinding process, making real-time adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
  • Replaces worn abrasive disks, wheels and belts.


Experience and requirements:
You're a curious problem solver who can bring big ideas to life. You're creative and scrappy but can navigate a large organization with ease. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we always deliver top-notch customer experiences. You also have:




  • High school diploma (desired, not required)
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in similar position or 2 years' experience in heavy manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
  • Ability to assist production with assembly and machine completions.


  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills
