The Program Purchasing Buyer STLA Medium Platform job responsibilities include but not limited to: Report hierarchically to Program Purchasing Manager Supplier kick-off after supplier award is confirmed Lead ODM / FETE management (Engineering changes) Ensure program targets and milestones are met Management of the supplier relationship Execution of all purchasing activities, which are necessary after MPTR. The purchaser is the interface between the Serial Life team and the supplier Negotiation and control ODM/FETE (piece price, tooling and prototype costs) Negotiate capacity changes if needed for assigned parts Preparations for production start-up for resourced components Maintain global sourcing plan and provide charts for leadership Negotiate potential volume increases during development Detect troubled suppliers and potential shortages as soon as possible and accomplish necessary actions Alert Project/ Program Purchasing Manager in case of supplier's failure/ risks Negotiate capacity changes if needed for assigned parts Use supporting functions (cost engineering, supply chain) if needed to manage negotiations Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, IT, or related fields Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or other disciplines that require significant negotiation and/or exposure to sourcing/project management processes Ability to demonstrate past results achievement and leadership skills while working in cross-functional teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong Excel skills Must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of management Self-motivated Ability to lead and take ownership of projects Ability to adapt to urgent requests Salaried Employee Benefits (US, Non-Represented) Health & Wellbeing Comprehensive coverages encompassing the Physical, Mental, Emotional, and overall Wellbeing of our employees, including short- and long-term disability.
